Artist Statement:
This mask was a fun one that I can't wait to do with my own students one day. This fancy and easy-to-do mask was inspired by Pinterest. At a future time when I am teaching this I hope to teach my kids a unit on birds or maybe have them do a report on a specific bird, making this an integrated lesson plan. I want to give them all opportunity to make the bird of their choice making sure they include the details of their bird to the best of their ability. Examples such as using the colors blue, black, and orange for a blue bird or maybe black, red, and orange for a cardinal. Reminding them there are also birds out there with black beaks and so forth.
